sun among the trees
My good friend Rosa and I found us with nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon. Rosa grew up visiting a park near Lake Oswego as a child and recommended we go for a quick hike. While we were there, the sun came out. I found my Canon T3 in my trunk and we ran back in the forest to take photos. I think they turned out really well. These are roughly edited because I like the way the photos look as opposed to the filtered feeling of post-Lightroom.
eyes of glitter |
This is a photo I took of my younger sister Sadie in a hotel room. I put glitter on the inner corners of her eyes and picked a shirt that could easily be cropped out of the photo. The intent of this was to take focus away from clothing and on her face. In the background, musical theater was blasting to make her feel comfortable during the shoot. I caught her singing along to a sad song and snapped this photo.
Cousin photoshoot |
Over break my family visited relatives in Idaho. The eldest, Ellie, loves having her photo taken. We spent our time together picking outfits and locations for photos and playing around for hours. Owen, pictured in a few photos, would join in when he felt like it. The two are an adorable pair and shooting them was very fun. Having young kids directing you with their own poses and movements was different than my usual shoots.
